SpringHill Suites Ellijay

I lost my wallet in the parking lot and thought it was gone for good. The kind front desk staff called me right away and mailed it back within a day. On top of that, the rooms were updated and beautiful for a great price, and the location was super convenient. Great place to stay, with great people!

We came for a quick March staycation to enjoy the local agritourism. The area was fun and the property felt safe, with dining within walking distance and tourist attractions nearby. The free high-speed Wi-Fi, good TV and heating and cooling, useful desk and chair, and clean little gym were all positives. Breakfast was average, with limited choices, but it did the job. The rooms were spacious and decently clean, though the beds called king were really queen size, barely roomy enough for two. The bathroom was rough for a family of three. The shower was dirty and moldy, cramped, and had no door seal, so water spread across the floor. Noise was another problem. Our top-floor room was the last one on the hall, but heavy doors slammed loudly enough to wake us and shake the walls. We even heard doors on the second floor. It was an average stay. If you’ll be out most of the day and can put up with dirty showers, it might suit you.

I enjoyed my stay and would come back if I’m in the area. The rooms were very clean and nice, there was plenty of parking, and a noon checkout was a welcome perk. The price was $20 or $30 above similar hotels, perhaps because of the region, but the later checkout may make that extra cost worthwhile.

I was tired and frustrated after a vehicle incident forced me to stay here, but the people made things much easier. The owner let me keep my damaged truck under the breezeway, and Sarah/Brandon at the front desk were kind and helpful. The hotel is new, so it was clean, bright, and nicely decorated, and my room was large with all the amenities. Without a vehicle the first night, I was glad I could walk to restaurants and shopping, including Walmart ++. It’s a great place, and I’ve saved it as a favorite for future trips.
