Saw Mill River Motel

Aside from this concern, the rooms were average and the location was convenient. During my stay at the Days Inn Elmsford, several other guests and I experienced behavior from the general manager, Corey Davis, that felt highly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. We reported it to the front desk before leaving and hope the hotel takes proper action.

The people at reception were polite and really helpful, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families or a long stay. We were there for three nights. The first room hadn’t been properly cleaned: food and dust were on the floor, and it looked as if they’d only made the bed. Reception moved us to a better room, but its heater made a terrible noise all night. I didn’t want to complain a second time.

A staff member threatened to call the police while I was sitting in the lounge having coffee. The front desk manager had told me coffee was available there all day and night, so I couldn’t understand that treatment. I also couldn’t sleep because a TV played loudly all night. The bathroom window was broken, leaving the room cold and difficult to use, and there was visible dirt along the edges of the beds. Disgusting. These were the worst two nights of my life. This stay was far below acceptable standards, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone. Avoid it.

Kathy was so nice, from my first call to arrange the stay right through check-in. She brought me water, walked me to the building to point out my room, and called about 20 minutes after I checked in to make sure everything was okay. She also mentioned a couple of restaurants with good food. Thanks, Kathy! Keep shining. People like you are dwindling away.
