The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the beds were clean too. I was glad there weren’t strong fragrances bothering me while I slept. It isn’t perfect, but it has a certain charm and is good for the price. Check-in is remote, so you’ll need a smartphone to pay and get the entry codes. If you need help, you can call and the lively, lovely property manager will come by. The restaurant across the street also makes great breakfast burritos.

After several nights of camping on a cross-country drive, having a clean, comfy bed at Grand Central felt like heaven. I felt safe, cozy, and right at home. Ian was quick to communicate, which I appreciated. I’d stay again if I pass through Ely on my way back this fall.

We stayed in the family suite, which sleeps six. It’s clean and practical for an easy overnight stop, with ground-floor rooms and parking right outside. Nothing fancy, but it has the basics. Just know there’s no hair dryer, and the shower stall is incredibly tight. An average-size man may have trouble moving around in it.

The beds were so cozy, and the customer service was wonderful. We had a late reservation mix-up in the app, which put us down for the wrong day, but they sorted it out quickly and were easy to deal with. It’s a cute 70s motel with modern updates. I’ll definitely stay again.

The owner is very involved and was one of the kindest motel owners I’ve ever talked to. They take real pride in the place and work hard to make sure guests are taken care of. The stay was comfortable and clean, and they went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
