Kelly checked us in and even offered my husband a veterans discount on her own. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and made the stay really pleasant. Our room was clean and smelled fresh, with extra towels and soap dispensers by both the sink and shower. The mattress was firmer than we like, but we loved the room, the handy downtown Emmett location, and the good value. We’ll definitely stay again.

The only bright spot over my five nights was the housekeeper leaving the K-cup coffee I’d asked for at my door. The room’s chain lock fit loosely, and I had trouble getting help when the TV wasn’t working. Around 7 p.m. I went to the office, which was within its posted 2-10 p.m. hours, but a note said staff were out running errands and gave an emergency number. The recording said they weren’t taking messages. Back in my room, I found I was locked out. I sat outside in my pajamas without shoes for about 45 minutes, then called 911. The officer tried several times before showing me a reset button. Nobody had told me about it, and I couldn’t have seen it even with my glasses. I thanked him a lot, got back in, and barricaded the door with a chair. I later left the motel a message saying I’d had to call 911, but nobody ever got back to me. The air conditioner was mounted too high for me to adjust, so I asked a clerk to set it to 67. He said it would freeze up and set it to 70, which was too warm for me. The fridge had to be replaced because its dial was missing. The replacement dial kept turning, froze all my food and medication, and cost me $40.

The motel was on the main road, with several places to eat an easy walk away, and the RV park was right behind it. We were in Emmett for a wedding and ended up changing and adding days to our reservation several times. They handled all those changes without a fuss. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with cute western decor and cowboy wallpaper on one wall. The bed was comfy, there were plenty of pillows, an extra blanket, and big fluffy towels. It isn’t fancy, but it worked well for us. The housekeepers were efficient, friendly, and helpful, and there’s a handy little laundry room. We’d happily stay again and recommend it.

I don’t get back to Emmett often because I drive a truck, so when I’m home I need somewhere to stay. I booked four nights this time and was glad I did. The rate was great when I booked directly through their website, and the room worked perfectly for me and my dog. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the staff even go by the affectionate name “Dust Bunnies.” I really appreciate how they made us comfortable. Benji and I will be back!

We needed a place for seven people after some last-minute changes, and thankfully the two rooms they gave us were close together, cool, and clean. We ended up staying two nights and used the motel as a base for nearby activities. The cowboy-themed rooms were adorable, housekeeping was spot on, and the staff were friendly. We even walked to dinner for a nice small-town stroll. I was surprised by a damage deposit that hadn’t been disclosed when we booked. It was refunded after the stay, and I understand some overnight places do this, but I wish we’d known when making the reservation. We booked just an hour before arriving, so we felt lucky to find the place. We enjoyed our stay. Why is it only two stars?
