Sleep Inn & Suites Emmitsburg

After I posted an honest review, customer service replied in a passive-aggressive way, suggesting I had “unruly children” and that a parent was “over-consuming” the poor breakfast to take food for later. I don't think a representative should make comments like that just because someone leaves a negative review. My original concern was the poor value: the advertised pool was out of service, breakfast choices were limited, and food wasn't replenished while breakfast was being served. I also included a screenshot of the hotel's own website listing a pool as an amenity, which makes this false advertising.

During the January 2026 snow event, Bollinger Construction did a great job keeping the property's parking lot cleared.

The rooms were clean and felt well worth the price, so I'd stay here again. Bri at the front desk was amazing, and I'm really grateful for her help.

The pool was out of order, and honestly, the continental breakfast isn't worth having. The staff were very nice, but the hotel itself is falling apart. The toilet paper holder was pulling out of the wall, the curtains had holes, the sheets were pilled, the desk looked like it had been in a wrestling match, and the closet door didn't work. Since this is the only hotel in the town where I sometimes work, I guess I'll have to get up early and drive in from farther away next time.
