A roach on the floor was enough for us to decide we couldn't stay. We'd been in the room about 30 minutes before I went to the front desk and politely asked for a refund. The man there refused. The service and location were terrible, and the room made the price feel expensive for what you get. This was easily my worst hotel experience. I plan to pursue it further and contact corporate.

The continental breakfast was decent and we really liked the coffee, but it wasn't enough to make us come back. The inn is old and run down, and our room was barely more than an efficiency. The toilet didn't flush properly, and we saw several small cockroaches on the floor and climbing the wall right beside the bed. The pool water was covered with leaves and flying bugs. We paid $73 for the night, which felt too high for all the hassles. Around $40 or $50 at most would have seemed fair.

It's convenient for getting off I-95, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, but we won't stay again. The pictures make the place look much better than it is. The rooms are dated and need a serious update, and the bed was extremely soft. There were two adults on the booking, but the room only had two towels. Housekeeping never came in to clean during our three days there. You get what you pay for.

I gave it two stars because it was dirt cheap, and you get what you pay for. The beds smelled bad, and the room itself was mediocre. In the bathroom, there were scratches and stains everywhere, and it was dirty. One of the three towels wasn't clean, with hair and makeup marks on it. Breakfast wasn't good either: the juice machine and waffle dispenser were broken, the coffee tasted bad, and the bagels were the crummiest white bread I've ever seen. I travel a lot and have stayed in hotels across the country. I wouldn't come back; I'd pay another $15-$20 for a slightly better room. This hotel knows it's a "last resort traveler trap."

We arrived late, tired, and just needing a night's sleep on the way to Orlando. The AC was off when we entered the room, and it was terribly hot in July. After half an hour with the AC running and the room still not cooling, we complained at the office. They moved us, but the next room looked unclean. We were exhausted and the AC worked, so we went to bed. In the morning we found used towels, and the room was so disgusting we didn't feel safe taking a shower. It looked like it hadn't been updated in 20 years. We weren't expecting an all-inclusive resort for $60 a night, but this was far beyond what we thought we'd find. After another complaint and 30 minutes of arguing, they offered only $20 off. Later that day we noticed they'd charged us twice. We called the office right away; they argued and at first wouldn't fix it, then eventually corrected the overcharge but never applied the $20 discount, leaving us charged the full price. We contacted the Red Roof corporate office, and a regional representative called back and said they'd fix the problem after hearing the whole story. They hadn't believed us at first, so we flat-out asked, "Would you stay at this motel?" To this day we still haven't been reimbursed for the night's stay. We checked our statements later to make sure nothing else had happened, and the only money returned was the overcharge. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, no matter how desperate you are. Stay at the Best Western across the street. The picture was taken in the parking lot to show we were actually there.
