Hampton Inn Springfield South Enfield

The location is great, with plenty of nearby stores and food, and breakfast at the hotel was good. But one of the cleaners was rude and impatient. My wife and I had already pressed the elevator button to go down when a cleaner wearing a red bandana came up and kept pressing the up button. She walked away, and when the elevator opened, we got in, but it wouldn't go down because she'd called it up. We had to get off and wait for the next one. It was infuriating. My wife wanted to say something, but I just wanted to leave without a conflict. People can be so disrespectful.

You can't blame the hotel for its customers, but you can blame its staff. The housekeepers here were like a pack of hyenas. They woke me up with their loud talking and kept slamming doors in every unit around mine. This was the worst I've experienced in two years. It has never been this bad.

The location is amazing, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was great. Those were the only good parts of the stay. We were there for three nights, and there was mold almost everywhere in the room. The bathroom had no vent, which is probably why it was moldy, but there was mold on the air conditioner too. The pool was cloudy, with hair floating in it. I don't like conflict, so I didn't speak up during our stay. For the most expensive hotel in the area, the room and other parts of the hotel were in disappointing shape. The cleanliness doesn't come close to matching the price.

The general manager was super helpful with the issues I had during my stay. The staff were friendly too, and breakfast was actually good. I had a wonderful visit and would recommend staying here.
