For a roadside hotel, the king room was the largest I can remember, and there was plenty of parking. It’s just off the highway at the edge of town, with food and Walmart close enough to walk to. The furnishings look modern and well made, as if the place has recently been renovated or built. Our room and the shared spaces, including reception, pool, and gym, were clean and tidy. Breakfast was pretty much what you’d expect, nothing special. Staff were polite, though one woman was sitting in the lobby on her phone when we arrived around 10 p.m., which struck me as unprofessional. The main drawbacks were noise through thin walls and light getting into the room at night. I’d still recommend staying here.

The rooms were clean, but this didn’t feel up to the standard I’d expect from a SpringHill. Quality was more like a Best Western. The front desk staff seemed like they’d rather be doing anything else. The bed was very hard, though not so stiff that all I could feel were the springs.

The hotel feels old and there’s a mold problem. We changed rooms after the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the first one and its thermostat didn’t work. The second room was better, but the shower area smelled strongly of mildew or mold. We also chose not to use the pool because of cleanliness concerns.

The staff were friendly, but they didn’t follow through on what they said they’d do. We couldn’t get into our room during the whole stay without someone from staff, because the key scanner supposedly had a low battery. The hotel was dirty throughout, including the rooms and pool. And whenever the person next door used the toilet, it made noise in our room. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m really glad I chose to stay here. The room was comfortable and very clean. The TV was in an awkward spot, but that’s my only complaint. I’d definitely recommend it.
