Comfort Suites Ennis

The room had decent space, but we couldn't get hot water for a shower. We told the front desk and heard, “Let me see what I can do,” but nothing changed. We mentioned it again when checking out, got no apology, and were still charged the full amount. Parking was also awful because work in the lot had taken up most of the spaces. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We booked a non-smoking king suite on the third floor, with the reservation made at 10 a.m. We were told suites were available there, but when we arrived, we were sent to the first floor in a condescending way. Our suite had gone to people who arrived literally one minute before us. The staff said nothing was available and offered a smoke-smelling room instead, with excuses and an apology I didn't want. Managers, they said, were never on site. Don't bother reserving or making requests here, they won't be honored, and you'll be ignored and lied to your face. Guests shouldn't have to put up with such disrespect or stay at this crappy hotel. Listen to what people ask for instead of making excuses. The staff should find a line of work other than lodging and hospitality.

The room was ready, but they charged me $35 to check in just 30 minutes early. It smelled like stale mold, the AC didn't work properly and the room stayed very humid. The front desk staff were completely rude. Breakfast was no good, and there was no hot water for a shower.

A friend and I had a great weekend lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun, and swimming. Our room had a large, soft king bed with two pillows per person, plus a couch that opened into another bed. There was also a little kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with coffee. The place was clean, and the gated pool had lots of towels, loungers, and umbrellas. They served a nice breakfast buffet with plenty of food.
