The view was extraordinary, and we even got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. I only had one night available because of our schedule, but we loved the stay. From the moment I walked through the lobby door, people greeted me with smiles and friendly faces. Our room was quaint and delightful, and we can't wait to return.

The porch looked out over the water and had a rocking chair, perfect for taking in the view. Our room was small, but had everything we needed, and the location was just right. It was too late in the season for the pool, though the fire pit was a nice touch. The front desk staff knew the area and events and were very helpful. Can't wait to take another trip here.

We never actually stayed at Edgewater, but after a bad experience with a chain hotel on Columbus Day weekend, my wife and I needed somewhere in Door County at short notice during a holiday weekend. The woman at the front desk could have told us Edgewater was full and sent us on our way. Instead, she called around and, after SIX tries, found us a room at the Birchwood, about 10 minutes away. It was their ONE remaining room. That kind of customer service for people who aren't even customers deserves your business.

Ephraim was a great base for getting around Door County since it's pretty much in the middle of everything. The hotel is dog friendly, peaceful, and easy to walk from to anywhere in town. Check-in and check-out were simple, the lake access and views were amazing, and the staff were friendly. Having The Post Office Restaurant on the grounds was a huge plus, making it easy to walk down for breakfast or dinner. The pool and hot tub were closed for the season, but there was a sauna in the gym area, which was a nice bonus.
