Spark by Hilton Essex Junction Burlington

Judy and Kristina helped make our four nights a great stay. Judy was cheerful and welcoming, helped with our booking, checked that we had what we needed, and made checkout easy. The room was spotless and well kept, and the bed was so comfortable after a day out. Spark by Hilton Burlington Colchester was close to downtown and Burlington, and to everything we wanted to see, so we didn't have to drive far. My family and I would stay here again when we visit Vermont. Highly recommend!

I'll stay here whenever work brings me to Burlington, and I'll recommend it to my coworkers. Judy's calm, patient approach made me feel comfortable right away. Four days before my stay, I had helped a colleague who doesn't speak English well rebook after our job's reservation was canceled because we truck drivers arrived two days after the booking. Judy gave us advice and understood the situation. At the Spark by Hilton now, my room is spacious and comfortable, with everything conveniently close. Breakfast coffee is especially handy when you're short on time.

The new room had a working TV and clean floors, unlike the first one, where the TV kept shutting itself off, the trash wasn't emptied, towels weren't replaced, and the floor stayed dirty. After a long drive, we found the TV problem, then saw the same TV issue and missed housekeeping after returning the next evening. I didn't go to the desk then because we were tired. The next morning I reported the TV, and was told it was a known issue in that room. They said they'd replace it or move us if that didn't work. Later it was on, so we thought it had been replaced, but it failed again and the floor was still uncleaned. We asked to switch rooms and asked manager Joy to call. I left two voicemails and got no reply; there wasn't even a greeting to confirm it was Joy's mailbox. The desk said Joy offered $25 off a seven-night stay, and they couldn't reach her either. Judy, the front desk associate I spoke with most, was empathetic and sorry we hadn't heard from Joy. She said she'd try again for me, but it didn't seem helpful. I have a new job that means more travel and had planned to use my Hilton Honors membership. I'm questioning that decision now.

The quiet, clean hotel was really comfortable, and I slept amazingly well. The beds felt like sleeping on clouds, though I don't know what kind of mattress they use. Spark by Hilton Essex Junction / Burlington was well kept, and I'd happily stay again. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
