The cabin felt homey with the fireplace, and there was plenty of wildlife around. The location was handy too, with a grocery store and liquor store just across the street. A few small maintenance issues still need attention. There’s no thermostat, so be sure to set the heater carefully.
I enjoyed my stay, especially in the quieter winter season. The amenities were nice, and it was handy to have food and services nearby, as well as the Park entrance. It gets very busy through much of the day in summer, which lasts about five hours longer, so that time of year would change the feel quite a bit.
The main room has a small stove, sink, fridge with the TV on top, plus a thermostat-controlled gas fireplace. There’s also a futon, a little table, and three small chairs. I stayed two nights in cabin 1. It’s cramped, with a soft double bed tucked into its own small room. The bathroom is tiny, though the shower is good; the toilet is short and may not suit older people. It was fine for a night or two, but not especially comfortable, and expensive.
We were grateful to be able to bring our dogs, and the location was very convenient for RMNP. The cottage felt solid even with the extremely strong wind during our stay, and inside you’d never have known it was blowing. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked relaxing in the hot tub after time adventuring in the park. Just a couple small things need fixing: the sink stopper was coming apart, and some outlets were loose. We’d stay here again.
The cabin was warm, the water got hot, and the appliances all worked fine. We had a one-bedroom with an outdoor hot tub, which was a refreshing way to wind down after hiking. From the cabin we could see the mountains, and Rocky Mountain National Park was close by. There was a slight musty smell when we first arrived, but it faded as fresh air got inside. I’d rent here again.
