The beds were comfy, and the sheets felt soft and warm. The place was clean and stocked beyond what I expected. The kitchen had nice dishes and good-quality pots and pans, plus a microwave big enough to cook a turkey in. They’d also left seasoning packets, olive oil, and coffee for convenience. My only small complaints: we had to pre-order all the towels for the whole stay, and the listing mentioned a heated pool, so we brought swimsuits, only to find it was closed for the season.

We had a good time at Timber Creek Chalet and would stay there again. We were seven in cabin number 8 for four days, though the two bathrooms were both downstairs. The sofa bed was broken and really uncomfortable, so maintenance had to come take a look. Our room had only a lamp for lighting, and its bulb burned out. We also asked about vacuuming and were told that service wasn’t available during our stay. The game room was pretty limited too, with just one pool table.

The pool was a highlight: heated, very clean, and looked after by a kind woman named Karolyn. We stayed four nights and found the beds comfortable, even the sofa bed. The price was decent, and the cabin had a dishwasher, strong water pressure, and a full bathtub. The floors, including the hardwood and area rug, could have used a thorough cleaning. The fireplace pilot stayed on for the first two days and made the room hot; after we asked a couple of times, it was switched off and the cabin felt much better.

The grounds crew were friendly, and the service was attentive. It’s close to town and also near the park, which made this a great place to stay.

Chalet #12 was spacious, large, and beautiful, and the area stayed quiet despite being only a couple miles from the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. Check-in was simple: they emailed all the details and an access code the day before, so we didn’t need keys or have to arrive before the main office closed. I’d happily stay here again. I just wish the pool and rec room stayed open longer.
