The water smelled strongly of bleach, and after showering I immediately developed itchy, burning rashes on my face, arms, and legs. I also got chemical burns on my arms, with a rash and white spots, so I stopped showering there and went to a doctor. I had to use showers at a friend's place every other day while still paying for the room. I think it's illegal to charge for a room with water sanitation issues. I stayed for a month last year and paid about 1500. The room smelled awful, and the smell didn't change after they made me leave it and wait in the lobby for "cleaning." I think all they did was make the bed, because it didn't seem clean. I wiped everything down with clorox wipes. When I unpacked at my new apartment, I found bed bugs and their bodies in my suitcase. I'd never had bed bugs before, and my house had always been very clean with no history of them. I was disgusted and very disappointed that the hotel left me with injuries and bed bugs. There weren't other hotels in the area with long-stay rooms available, so I felt stuck after paying. It felt like they took advantage of that situation. Next time I can't find a place near work, I'll sleep in my car. And if you're thinking I shouldn't say anything because it'll hurt their business, don't hurt customers and maybe the reviews won't be so bad.
