Holiday Inn Express Eunice by IHG

Roaches in the room made me really uncomfortable, and I ended up cleaning it myself. The place felt very dirty and needs to be cleaned before guests are given rooms. On top of that, the manager was rude, and the staff didn't seem well trained. They quoted me one price but charged more, then called it a miscommunication even though staff had told me something different. I had a horrible experience and would never recommend this place.

The room had two roaches and a brown recluse, which is why I can't give it three stars. I travel a lot and IHG is usually my first choice. The appliances worked, the AC stayed cool, and the bed was comfortable. Internet was unreliable, and breakfast started out limited but got better over the week.

Mold covered my room and there was a bad smell in both the room and hallway, so I checked out early. An employee said they knew about the issue and that I'd get a refund for that night. The manager refused, saying I hadn't given 24 hours' notice. I'm not sure how I could've anticipated the mold. Terrible hotel and customer service. I wouldn't recommend it.

The new manager seems to be making real improvements. During my stay I saw rooms being upgraded, with walls and doors repaired and freshly painted. I've stayed here before when the rooms weren't so great, but this time was much more enjoyable. The staff are always smiling and super friendly. I'll book here whenever I'm in the area.
