Center Street Stone Cottage

The host later tried to charge us a $500 smoking fee even though we don't smoke, after we'd left an honest three-star review. Before that, they accused us of smoking, despite first saying we were perfect guests and welcome back. The place was much smaller than the photos suggested, and parking was awful. The ad said free parking near the property, but after booking we were sent directions to hourly paid lots. The jacuzzi wasn't private, and it was visible from the street and the hotel across from it. At 6 a.m. the bar across the street had trash picked up, with beer bottles thrown into the truck and broken glass noise right outside the thin walls. The lock was unreliable and barely felt secure. I also cut my hand on a sharp nail or screw holding the outside bathroom door handle in place, since there was no inside handle. Be careful about leaving an honest review or staying at Airbnbs, I guess. They may lie about you and charge extra even if your stay was poor.
