Holiday Inn St. Louis West Six Flags by IHG

I love this hotel. The Fundome is great, and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. It’s always a treat to stay here, and I can’t wait for my next visit. This gorgeous older building has far more character than the usual cookie-cutter places you see in the Holiday Inn chain. The lobby is beautiful. I hope they never gut it just to make it look new.

We needed a room after a drunk driver hit us on the highway on-ramp right in front of the hotel. We were stranded there while waiting for his insurance to accept liability. The staff were incredibly kind and helped us with discounts, coupons, and free food vouchers. I’ll always be grateful to them. If we’re ever back in the area, this will be my first choice for a place to stay. I’d give them more stars if I could.

We travel through Missouri twice a year and always stop here. It’s a very special place, with amazing architecture and history, and such friendly, welcoming staff. It’s especially perfect when traveling with a dog. There’s a huge grassy area where they can walk and play.

We felt very safe here, and the location was good. The pool area in the “fundome” was nice, and the beds and pillows were comfy. The breakfast buffet was decent for the price we paid. The hotel was a decent value overall. The buildings are very historic, though the hallways have dated hotel vibes.
