Courtyard Evansville East

My kids and I love coming here. The pool is clean and nice, the workout room is wonderful, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are always pleasant, and the whole place is super clean.

I’m a Titanium member, and Marriott properties have usually been my choice for good reasons. At this location, though, I got an edgy attitude from the start through the end of my stay. Several managers ignored me while I was standing right in front of them. The owner had the worst attitude and seemed proud of it. Customer service is about how you treat people and make them feel, whether they're right or wrong, and they failed badly at that.

Asli and her husband made our stay special with warm hospitality, friendly conversation, and little extras we appreciated, or “lagniappe.” We liked it so much that we booked here again and plan to return. I can’t remember her husband’s name, sorry. The food and drinks they offered were good enough that we stayed in once we reached Evansville. Sheldon, I think, was the facilities manager. He was outgoing and engaging, and like everyone else, seemed focused on making us comfortable and satisfied. There’s also a great walking and jogging trail around the small lake across the street.

The rooms were great, and the service was excellent. They also had nice meals and coffee available to buy.
