Osceola Grand Hotel

I needed some quiet time to myself, and there were no interruptions. The pool was clean, and the staff kept an eye on the continental breakfast area. I’m used to more modern rooms, but this was a great stay and a good place to get away from city chaos and recharge.

The sheets and towels were clean, but I hated the towels. They felt like the microfiber ones my husband uses in the garage, and they were thin and barely absorbed anything. I needed two full-size towels to dry off. The sink area was the worst: there was dried blue toothpaste and a hair in the sink, and a big black hair in the counter corner. Those weren’t our colors, ours are red and brunette. The room was very dusty along the walls and behind the furniture, and the coffee tray was dirty with crust inside the pod area. Maybe that was from the water, but I wasn’t willing to take a chance. There was also only one curtain panel, and it didn’t cover the window fully. I stayed as a trial run before a family wedding this May. Since the hotel is just a few miles from the ceremony and reception, I’d hoped to recommend it to the couple dozen or more people coming from across the country for a multi-day event. I can’t recommend it.

The rooms are a decent size, and the prices aren’t too bad. Since they allow dogs, the floors needed a better vacuuming and cleaning. That was the only issue I noticed.

The staff were really professional and friendly, and I felt it was worth every cent. I’ll come back. My one bit of advice is to get a new maintenance person, since patched holes need updates like fresh paint. I haven’t tried breakfast, but I was impressed enough to leave a positive review early. Joe
