We wanted a little escape without going far from home, and this resort was just right. The lake is gorgeous, and it’s easy for guests to get to the kayaks and boats. Our cabin had everything we needed. The shower was the standout, it felt luxurious while still fitting the cabin’s warm, simple feel. We’ll definitely be back. ♥️

Three years running now, and this peaceful lakeside spot is still a wonderful escape from the daily grind. The staff are attentive if you need anything that wasn’t provided in the cabin. It’s hard to describe what makes the place so lovely, but we can’t wait to return. I’m not sure what more you could want from a vacation stay.

The quiet here is what I love, and my dog is happiest out on the hiking trails. The cabins are clean and cozy, with nice quality finishes. We first came in spring, had a good time, then returned in fall. It’s an easy weekend away while still close enough to Charlottesville, and we’ll be back.

Late October brought out the fall colors, and the grounds, trails, lake, and beach all looked gorgeous. Everything was well kept, clean, and peaceful. We had an incredible escape and will definitely return. Highly recommend.

This was our second trip, and it was every bit as good as the first. The cabin has a great mix of rustic character and the modern amenities our teenagers need. You can see the care Lisa and Duane put into the details inside. We spent time fishing at the lake and took the rowboat guests can use. Then came a beautiful sunset and a fire pit in the evening. It was a fantastic weekend, and the place is starting to feel like a second home. We can’t wait to come back.
