Baymont Inn & Suites Fairborn

The beds were fairly comfortable, though nothing special, and a bit high. The noisy floor was hard to ignore. I could hear my own footsteps all the way to the room, and it kept making noise inside, too. Late at night I tried to order food from the lobby mini shop, but there was nobody at the desk. I waited 15 minutes, calling out and tapping the desk, with no response. At least the doors lock at night for safety, and there’s a phone to call if you need to get in after hours. You can check in at night as well.

We’ve stayed at the Comfort Inn several times over the last few years when visiting family and have always been pleased with the rooms and service. Before our latest visit, a family emergency had us thinking we might need to cancel at the last minute. It was a stressful, hectic time, and the manager was incredibly understanding and willing to work with us. We were able to keep the trip after all, and felt very welcome during a pleasant stay. We’ll come back next time we’re in town.

The staff were really nice, and there was plenty of hot water. My room had a microwave and mini fridge, and the hotel also has an ice machine, laundry on site, and a gym.

Our two nights here while visiting the United States Air Force Museum went well, despite my concern after reading some negative reviews. The rooms were quiet and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, though not the best we’ve had at a hotel, and my wife liked the waffles. This Comfort Inn is about 15 minutes from the museum, but restaurants, gas stations, and Interstate 675 are nearby. The other Comfort Inn next to the museum is in the middle of nowhere. I recommend T J Chumps, about six minutes away off Interstate 675.
