Days Inn Fairborn

We would never stay here again. The room was full of flies and gnats, with blood stains on the carpet and shower curtain. It smelled like weed and body odor both inside and outside. The night-shift woman was rude, and although the front desk phone kept ringing busy, nobody was there when we went down. A friend’s smoke detector was literally hanging by a thread with a dying battery, and staff couldn’t do anything about it.

The hallways had a strange odor, and the hotel looked pretty aged. Our key cards barely worked. The bathroom, especially the shower, was gross and falling apart, while the bed and pillows weren’t very comfortable. It was odd that our friends paid about the same and got a suite. I probably won’t come back to this location.

The outside could use a lot more attention. The grass had been mowed, but weeds hadn’t been trimmed and the bushes had barely been cut, which made the property look rough and unappealing. Better management and a thorough detailing could help this hotel. Inside, the room was fair, with comfortable beds and cold air, though the bathtub faucet was loose from the wall. The location was good.

The pool water was cloudy, and the fitness room smelled like burnt rubber. My room had beetles, and there were roaches in the bed. The place smelled bad, the room felt damp, and the hallways and elevators reeked of cigarettes and weed. They comped one night out of my two-night stay, but I felt the whole stay should have been free. Disgusting.
