Courtyard by Marriott Fairfield Napa Valley Area

Housekeeping banged on the door at 9 AM and woke us up during our stay, with no communication or respect for guests. The bed was impossible to sleep in, and the towels looked unwashed. The carpets were filthy, covered in dirt, and the place felt old and completely unacceptable. When I pulled back the mattress cover, I found a large, visible blood stain. That was deeply disturbing and a serious cleanliness failure. Courtyard by Marriott Fairfield Napa Valley Area is a health and safety concern. I’d never stay here again. Avoid it.

For a large four-floor hotel, having one elevator is ridiculous. We gave up waiting and took the stairs. It’s also a basic freeway-side hotel, at least 20 minutes from downtown Napa, and breakfast isn’t included. You have to pay for it, and it’s not worth it. There was barely any water in the check-in area, where nicer hotels offer coffee and tea. The bathroom is drab, and the supposed remodel seems to have left beds from 20 years ago. They’re awful, all springs, with a very thin blanket that isn’t big enough. I could have put up with the freeway noise if the bed were good, but a three-star hotel with beds like that is a crime. I rarely book Marriot, and this was a waste of money. We’d have been better off at Holiday Inn Express or somewhere similar. I still can’t believe I paid for that bed. If it hadn’t been so late, I’d have changed hotels. Don’t stay here.

The check-in agent was really friendly, but the rest of my stay left me feeling dirty and uncomfortable. The hotel needs upkeep: the room and gym stank, and the dark hallways didn’t feel welcoming. There were lots of weird people around the parking lot and nearby. I’m not sure how this property is even part of Marriott.

I woke up with a burning sensation all over my body and a rash. It may have been bed bugs or something else in the bed. There was a sticky floor, a bathtub faucet that wouldn’t stop running, and a bright security light shone into the room all night. This location won’t get my business again, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
