The way Sapphire Navarro handled our attempted stay at the Quality Inn in Falconer, NY, was awful, and I still want the issue investigated. On 1-25-2026, I went with my girlfriend, Kristen Capizzi, and asked for an early check-in. Sapphire Navarro, the front desk manager, recognized that I had stayed before. I can document those stays and plan to post screenshots, including one from 1-14-2026. That’s why I find it hard to believe I was on a do not rent list in October. I believe that claim was made up. We gave them the reservation under my girlfriend’s name, but were told she was on the “do not rent” list. When we came back later, Sapphire said I was on it too, despite my recent stays. The interaction was unprofessional. We saw handwritten entries on the list, and she laughed and said she could do whatever she liked because she was front desk manager. The incident began around 1:00 PM and went on until about 3:05 PM. Local police were called, and there’s a report I intend to post. Sapphire brought up having an issue with my girlfriend at a previous job. She just smiled and said, “so what.” I believe she was let go from that job over similar situations, and she should not have been hired for this kind of position without a better investigation. The other employee working with her went along with what I believe was a fabrication. Front lobby footage should show what happened. I asked for security footage from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to be reviewed, along with computer logs showing when our names were added to the list. I believe Sapphire added them that day, and the system should have a timestamp. I also want inaccuracies on the list corrected, accountability for the employees involved, and a full refund for the lost stay, even though the room was non refundable. I asked for Sapphire and the other employee to be terminated. Afterward, I saw a generic response to my complaint. It didn’t address accountability for making false accusations and putting both me and my girlfriend on a do not rent list for no reason. I want to hear that Sapphire and the employees who went along with this were terminated. We can’t see staying at the hotel until this is made right. Hopefully whoever writes the responses understands that.

The staff were great, and my room was clean. Breakfast was a letdown: there were only waffles and coffee, no toast, bagels, or cereal. The juice machine was empty during my visit. For a frozen breakfast sandwich, you have to ask at the front desk.

I won’t be back. The room smelled of smoke, the floor was dirty, the comforter had blood stains, and the thin towels weren’t much help. There were cracks in the sink and missing porcelain on the toilet. In the hallway, the smell of vomit was strong and some base molding was missing. The laundry area had one broken washer and a dryer. Breakfast ran out of orange juice, and at first there were only waffles. Later someone brought a bag with a frozen breakfast sandwich, an apple, a granola bar, and water. That’s not the quality I expect from a Choice hotel. This is the worst Choice hotel I’ve stayed in.

We were on the road for 35 days, from Quebec City to New Orleans, and stayed in plenty of hotels. This was the worst. There were maybe 10 guests, yet management sat us right beside another guest who was causing trouble, even though there seemed to be room to keep us apart. Internet access was advertised, but there was none when we stayed on October 28th. Expedia customer service said it still wasn’t available on November 11th. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but we didn’t get any. I tried for a partial refund and was refused. They said we should have left if we weren’t happy, but we couldn’t know breakfast wouldn’t be there the next day. They don’t seem to care about customer satisfaction once they have your money. Avoid this place.

The room had sticky floors, peeling wallpaper, and outlets that didn’t work. One even sparked when I plugged in my phone. Outside, there was trash or construction material lying around, bicycles on their sides or locked to light posts, weeds growing from the gutters, and visible rat traps. The lobby reeked of pot. The clerk was outside smoking and hanging out with a guy in a rusty truck, so I had to go out to get her attention. There were unsavory looking people and kids running around inside and out at all hours. The place appeared to be section 8 housing. Avoid this dump at all costs!
