Millz Manor at Fall River Millz

My online room booking fell apart when I arrived to find the office locked at 4:00 PM. I waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes, leaving several voicemails and hoping someone would call back. In the end I had to cancel and find another room, and they didn’t refund me. Be careful about paying in advance.

The room was cozy, clean, cute, and well equipped, and checking in was super easy. Great location for hikes to Burney Falls or Mccloud Falls.

I’d give it 4 1/2 if that were an option. The room was extremely clean and very quiet, with a good bed, fridge, and Keurig. Prices can jump a lot at the last minute because of dynamic pricing, so book early if you can. A few small things: there should be glasses in the bathroom, the room was quite dark and could use a brighter lamp, and I’d rather have old fashioned soap bars than a well used pump bottle. Still, it’s a peaceful motel and I’ll definitely stay again.

Millz Manor worked well for our drive to Crater Lake, since it’s dog friendly and just outside Lassen NP. It’s right on the highway, so there was traffic noise, but we slept fine. The place was neat, well equipped, and reasonably priced. Flowers were blooming, I spotted hummingbirds, and golden yellow fields stretched out with purplish mountains behind them.
