Holiday Inn Express Fargo SW - I-94 Medical Center by IHG

The staff were helpful and the location is great. The room was equipped, but only somewhat clean. I found a hand towel behind a chair, probably left by a previous guest. The bathroom looked like it had been repaired, though not very well. The shower door seemed off, but that may just be me, and there was overspray on the floor. The room was comfortable enough for me, but my standards vary since I've slept on jungle floors and desert sand. The bedding was fine. Breakfast had no lights on in the buffet area, and I'm not sure if that was intentional. It's a Holiday Inn Express, not the Waldorf. It is what it is.

The male kitchen attendant does an excellent job. The woman who checked me in and out at the front desk was pleasant and very professional. Excellent hotel, and I'll stay here again.

Breakfast was good, our rooms were clean, and we liked having freshly brewed coffee. The kids also really enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day scavenger hunt. The pool was a major reason we chose this hotel, so it was frustrating to find both the hot tub and kids’ pool closed over a health violation involving inaccurate chemical testing. The website could have mentioned this, or guests could have been told ahead of time that the pool area wasn't fully operating. After using the pool, the kids were itchy even after showering at home later that evening. I hope they improve testing and maintenance so guests can use the facilities safely.

Chuck was looking after the dining area at breakfast today, and I really appreciated how he kept the tables and floor clean and paid attention to the details. He greeted everyone who came in and was very pleasant. The hotel was great, thanks Chuck.
