The TV in my room was good, 1080p HD, but there were plenty of problems. Rooms vary in size and some have one bed while others have two. People have reported cockroaches, and bugs seem to be a serious issue. There was recently a problem with flying red bugs on the left side of the building. The room itself wasn’t appealing: there was writing on the walls, the blanket felt dirty and uncomfortable, and the hangers were flimsy and frustrating to use. The motel doesn’t offer food. The vending machine is fine, but it isn’t run by the motel. They do offer ice, though. Management was another problem. I’ve heard managers kick people out for reporting roaches, and the advertising makes the place sound better than it is. There’s no continental breakfast, despite the claim, and they charge for toilet paper. The office always smells bad. They also seem to make a point of not being family-friendly. I saw one of the owners go to the flea market next door after it had closed, get into a car, and circle around. They were obviously doing some kind of drug that made the room smell. They complained about one of my friends’ kids playing outside too much during the summer. I’m not joking. 2/10.

The room was freezing all night because the heat didn’t work, and the blankets had stains and cigarette burn holes. I also found the smoke detector sitting in a drawer, disconnected, and there was no bed bug cover on the bed. I feel like I have to burn the clothes I had with me. I booked online at $69 but was charged $75. When I brought up the problems at checkout, the man at the counter was rude and accused me of trying to get a free night. As I left, he said, “nice try though.” This place wasn’t clean or sanitary, and the room wasn’t worth the money. The staff were horrible. Don’t stay here.

The room smelled musty and like smoke, including the sheets. The bathroom was dirty, the curtain had mold, and the furniture looked like it came from the flea market next door. I was quoted $83 plus tax, but when I arrived they said $125 and only wanted $100 in cash. They seem to charge whatever they want. Disgusting place. Stay somewhere else.

We checked in after getting a courtesy call to confirm our reservation, then found stained sheets, blood on a pillowcase, and hair all over the bed. The hand towel had faces all over it. We took our things back to the office and asked for a refund after paying $70. They refused, but offered to clean the room. When we went back, there were new sheets and towels still in their packaging. Why couldn’t they have done that before we arrived? The continental breakfast may be for the owners who live at the hotel, but don’t count on it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The health inspector needs to come and shut it down.

We gave the correct number of guests when booking through Expedia, two adults and two kids, but the next day the owner said he’d lost money on the deal and demanded another $40 for the children. One is under a year old and the other is under five. We’ve never been treated with such disrespect. The owner also complained that we bathed our kids. The room was gross. Our socks came away dirty from the carpet, the toilet wouldn’t stop running, and the shower sounded like it might explode. We’re convinced there are cameras somewhere in the room. Never again.
