Regency Inn

I wish I'd checked the reviews first. This was the worst room I've ever stayed in, and if I could rate below one star, I would. Priceline quoted $88, but I was charged $93, which is ridiculous for this motel. It should cost $49 or less. The office person was very nice, though. The musty, damp smell eased somewhat once the A/C cooled the room, and surprisingly the A/C worked well. The toilet and shower looked new, but the bath sink area had pink walls and a 4x4 piece of wood propping up the counter. The whole room had mismatched old 70s styling. From outside it didn't look so bad, and the new-model BMW parked out front made it seem like it might be decent. I didn't expect Priceline to list a room like this. The place should be closed by the health department.

We were there from 7 to 10 p.m. before walking out, and it was nonrefundable. My daughter woke with roaches crawling on her head. The sheets and towels were stained with bodily fluids, and the room smelled strongly of pee. The staff were very rude when I arrived because I'd booked through Priceline. I'm extremely upset. Don't stay here. I'd give zero stars if I could.

The place is cheap, and I guess you get what you pay for. The bedspread looked very dirty, and I ran out of hot water after about five minutes in the shower. They take away your used towels and have to wash them before returning them.

Everything felt old, smelly, and unclean, and there were bugs everywhere, mosquitoes, flies, spiders, and moths. The sheets were badly stained. They said they had been washed, but there were no spare ones to replace them. This is the worst place I've ever seen. Please don't stay here unless it's life or death, and even then I'd rather die.
