Super 8 - Fenton/St. Louis Area

I was charged $75 for a very plain room, and won't stay here again. It's outdated and needs remodeling, with some sort of laminate floor and no carpet at all. We couldn't shower because the water wouldn't turn on. There weren't even a few glasses for water, and no small coffee pot.

The person who checked us in was really nice, but that was about the only good thing. We booked a non-smoking king room, and the bed was right, but the smell of smoke hit us as soon as we opened the door. The mini fridge leaked all over and didn't work, which was a major problem since I'm breastfeeding and needed to store milk. The water was right under a power strip, so we put a towel beneath it because that was obviously dangerous. There were several holes in the walls, the bathroom was falling apart, and the bed was extremely stiff. I've paid less for a better room. Don't stay at this Super 8.

The front desk manager was awesome, and without them we wouldn't have stayed. But the owner was a jerk and told us to get a refund if we didn't like it. There was no breakfast despite what the website says, and no ice machine or towels in the room. The shower didn't work properly, swinging from hot to cold, and the water got so hot it almost burned my kid. The toilets leak, the door barely shuts, there are holes in the wall, and the bathroom lights flickered with no fan. Cold air came in from outside the heating unit and under the door.

Dirt and grime were stuck in the bathroom corners, and the tub hadn't been cleaned. Someone had left a used razor on its edge. There was only half a roll of toilet tissue, no Kleenex and no towels in the room, so I had to get towels from the front desk. The taps were loose, paint was peeling, the door stuck, and the floor wasn't carpeted. They charged me $20 more than the website price. It was late, otherwise I would've asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. Not happy.
