Seaside Inn

We’ve stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Ervin and the staff are thoughtful and friendly, and they’ve always gone out of their way to make our visits pleasant. The rooms are clean, rates are affordable, and there’s coffee in the lobby plus a pool on site. It’s owner operated and has offered this kind of service since 2013. The beach is one block away, with good restaurants and shops nearby. For Fenwick Island and the surrounding area, it’s absolutely the best deal. We always look forward to coming back.

The beach access is a quick, safe walk down a small residential street, and the hotel is on the beach side of the highway. That stretch of beach between Dewey and Ocean City was the quietest, cleanest, and least crowded we found, with a private feel and a lifeguard at the access. The hotel and neighborhood were peaceful and family oriented too. I didn’t hear street noise or other guests, and everyone seemed to turn in at a decent hour. Inside, the room looked even better than the online pictures, and it definitely didn’t feel outdated. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in keeping everything spotless. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. The AC was quiet and kept the room cool even in sweltering, humid weather. The pool is small, but it was relaxing when a storm kept us off the beach. Several good restaurants and breakfast spots are within walking distance, though the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast. The beds were uncomfortable, with a very hard mattress that sounded like an air mattress. WiFi was very slow, and the TV only has WiFi channels. The toilet paper was scratchy. Also, the hotel isn’t wheelchair accessible. There are ramps to the first floor at the back, but no wheelchair access to the main office. I’d absolutely stay here again if I visit the area.

Both times I’ve stayed at the Seaside in, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. The location is great, and it’s very quiet. I once left my bathing suit in the room, but the front desk happily mailed it back after I called. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Fenwick!

This older motel is nicely maintained, and I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff were. The quiet section of the Fenwick Island Seaside neighborhood suited us well. There’s a small, well-kept pool, good coffee, and nice restaurants right across the street. The beach is one block away on the east side of Ocean Parkway (Rt.1).
