Orca Inn Suites

We were charged $250 before we even got into the room, and the check-in experience alone means I’d never stay here again. Just before 5pm, nobody was at the desk. We called the number in the lobby and got no answer for about 10 minutes. Then the manager spoke over the cameras and told us to go knock on someone’s room door and see if we could get the keys ourselves, since they couldn’t reach that person. We waited outside that room for nearly another 10 minutes. Eventually someone else went into the room and got her somehow. When she came out, she said she’d been busy with her flowers while everyone was trying to reach her. She tried to check us in, but didn’t know which room we had and had to contact the manager again to ask. The service was terrible. The room was also banged up, with lamps that didn’t work.

I was here for three weeks. The rates are awesome, and the staff and service were top notch. Every hotel needs a manager like Teresa. Thanks for working with me and accommodating my needs. But the fireplace in my room never worked, and although I was told continental breakfast ran from 6-9, I never saw any breakfast or even hot coffee.

I called around 10am on Thursday, and the receptionist, M, was extremely disrespectful. He wouldn’t answer my questions properly, just gave half-assed replies and hung up right after I asked something. He didn’t seem to care about his job. I tried to get his name, but he wouldn’t tell me. Having someone answer the phone with that kind of attitude is really unprofessional. Unless this gets fixed, I wouldn’t recommend calling this hotel.

The management is great, and the prices are good. Restaurants and casinos are just down the road, and the hotel has been beautifully renovated inside. It’s in a very good location.
