Comfort Suites Findlay I-75 near Sports Complex

We slept terribly in our first-floor room near an exit. The door kept slamming, staff moved cleaning carts through it, and from around 5 am the cleaning staff were going in and out constantly, making loud noises that woke us. There was also heavy stomping from the room or hallway above. We’ve never had a worse night in a hotel. A room like this shouldn’t go to people who want to sleep. We won’t be back and can’t recommend the hotel.

The beds were comfortable, and I slept well. As a former housekeeper, I could tell the staff take care of the place and do a nice job. The hotel smelled clean, without a mildew smell. Like in almost every hotel, though, there was mold in the heating and cooling unit.

On our latest stay on 09/24/25, it took three tries to find a room that was even close to clean. Dust was so thick you could write in it, the air conditioner vents were full of black mold, and there was a spider in a web in a bathroom corner. The rooms are supposedly inspected after cleaning, which makes this worse. The weeds in the planting areas were already tall when we stayed a month earlier, and now they’re even taller. Come on, do better! We’re Gold Choice Members and used to live in Fostoria and Fremont, Ohio, before moving to Florida. Our son and grandchildren live within walking distance, which is the main reason we chose this hotel when we visit. We were extremely disappointed.

It suited our needs well. The room was clean, and breakfast was good with lots of seating. The hotel is conveniently close to I-75.
