Best Western Apricot Inn

Nicky was such a lovely person at the front desk. She even brought a bottle of water to my room, which I appreciated. The hotel sits off the road, so highway noise wasn't an issue, and there weren't any truckers sleeping in the parking lot. With a Starbucks and a McD's across the street, it was the perfect stop for me while traveling on I-5. Nicky really stood out!

The room was spotless, and I felt safe and secure. We were tired and it was getting late, but Andrea held a room for us without a deposit and gave us a discount. When I dropped my charger cord at check-in, she brought it right to me. Breakfast was hot and tasty, and I had oatmeal since I'm gluten free. Andrea and Nikki really are the A Team, a little oasis of comfort and kindness on a long drive.

The privacy curtain left a three-inch gap, so we had to use my wife's hair clips to pull it closed. The room smelled, and it was clear the cleaning staff hadn't cleaned behind the doors. We stopped here on the way down to SD, but the only reason we stayed was that we'd already spent eight hours on the road with two small children. No wonder they make you pay for the room up front when booking.

The hotel itself was okay, and breakfast was free, but the service was exceptional. My family and I were stranded in the area in the middle of the night with a flat tire and no spare, so we stayed at the Best Western Apricot Inn. Nikki and Andrea helped us get a room and went above and beyond to help with the tire. Their kindness was really refreshing, and we appreciate everything they did. Thank you both!
