We’re locals and had been meaning to try this place, so we booked a short winter weekend. Even with the cold and wind in midwinter, we were comfortable. The room was warm and cozy, the bath house was so nice, and the staff were outstanding. It’s cute and thoughtfully put together, a real diamond in the rough in the Valley. The restaurant serves incredible food that’s hard to find around here, and the cocktail and liquor selection gets an A++. I can only imagine what it’s like in summer. We’ll definitely be back, whether for dinner, drinks, or another staycation.

The lake view made for a great atmosphere, and the staff were so friendly. I loved the local touches, especially the red velvet beet cake for dessert, which is a must-try. My smash burger had perfectly cooked locally sourced beef, and the homemade chips with kelp sea salt and vinegar were a highlight. The halibut Olympia was a lovely taste of Alaska, and the lingonberry ketchup was a fun twist. I can’t wait to come back for movie night and see what becomes of the downstairs social club.

I loved the atmosphere here. Even with pleasant music in the background, you can actually have a conversation and hear each other. The service and drinks were topnotch, too. I first went with a friend a couple of weeks ago, then couldn’t wait to bring my husband after he got back from moose hunting. I wanted him to try the 45 oz tomahawk ribeye, and it didn’t disappoint. Huge, tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

We were unsure about staying in a dry cabin, but seeing the amenities and incredible views quickly put those worries to rest. The shower house is like having your own spa for the day, and it’s just a very short walk from the cabin. Alex greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the area, cabin, and shower house. It was an amazing resort experience, and we’d definitely stay at Meier Lake again if we’re in the area.

The downstairs gathering area worked really well for hanging out, games, and meals, and the sauna was a big hit. The dry cabins were comfortable and clean. We had a staff retreat with 24 people at Meier Lake, and it was just right. The staff were hospitable and accommodating, going out of their way to make us comfortable. Marissa was easy to work with while we planned. Definitely recommend!
