Courtyard Fishkill

The pool was a peaceful, clean place to unwind after a long trip, and I remember the whole stay as relaxing. My room worked perfectly, especially the TV, so I spent the evening watching movies. The staff were polite and approachable, and the modern, cozy atmosphere felt welcoming. Even the comfort room was spotless and well designed. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm place to rest and recharge after traveling.

The location is excellent, right by Interstate 84, and Tyler, who I was told is the manager, greeted us warmly and was friendly and informative. We got two bottles of soda on arrival, though I don’t know whether that’s standard or because of our Marriott status. The property feels dated, especially the rooms. Nothing was missing, but it all looked tired, and I’ve seen other Courtyards with more current colors and furniture. It was still quite uncomfortable. The building’s layout is a little mysterious, and we didn’t realize breakfast was included. The bistro was understaffed, though the person there was trying their best. The scrambled eggs seemed clearly not to be real eggs, were in tiny pieces, and were overdone. Breakfast came with one piece of toast. The coffee wasn’t hot, but they replaced it quickly. I prefer Courtyards to other inexpensive Marriott chains, though the free breakfast at some of those hotels is appealing. The stay was pleasant and comfortable, and the location was perfect.

Tyler at the front desk was welcoming, pleasant, and really attentive from the moment I arrived. His restaurant and gym recommendations were helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised when he added me to complimentary breakfast without me asking. I had a great stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fishkill and would definitely return.

The hotel is old and outdated, and there were several problems with the rooms. The lobby bar and restaurant would close whenever they felt like it, even during their posted hours. It’s poorly managed, and there are better hotels in the area.
