Econo lodge Flagstaff East I-40

The room was in awful shape and hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were bugs, holes in the walls, and visible marks where fixtures had been moved. Food from a previous guest was still on the table, the floors hadn’t been swept or mopped, and it looked as if housekeeping had only made the bed and left fresh towels. When I raised this at the front desk, they said they’d tell housekeeping but refused to move me to another room. That was completely unacceptable. For the poor condition and lack of service, the price was outrageous. I expected a clean, comfortable room for what I paid, and this was far from that. I wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone. It needs serious cleaning, maintenance, and staff retraining before renting rooms at these prices.

I arrived at 1:30 AM, and someone was already at the desk and checked me in quickly. The room was clean and reasonably nice for the price. I hadn’t expected to find lodging under $50 in Flagstaff, so it was a great value and a good experience.

The front desk staff were friendly, and the coffee was decent. But the highway next door made the location really loud, so it was hard to sleep. The TV remote didn’t work, and the AC unit was hard to operate because the buttons were worn down. There was also a questionable brown substance on the comforter.

The bed was rock hard, and the room wasn’t maintained. The signs advertised high-speed internet and a deluxe breakfast, but I couldn’t connect to the internet at all. The so-called deluxe breakfast was a waffle, cereal, yogurt, and coffee, with no eggs or meat option. It was inexpensive for a hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
