Knights Inn Flint

We opened the room and turned right back around. It looked nothing like the photos, felt unsafe, and was absolutely disgusting. They wouldn't refund us, so we lost our money, but that was better than catching something or getting stabbed. You couldn't pay me to stay there. They shouldn't be open.

The room wasn't clean, and the Expedia review was way off. There were burn holes in the bedspread and the sheets were the wrong ones. The lighting was outdated and needed repair, and the room needed paint and the AC/heating unit cleaned. Outside, the gutters leaked badly enough that you'll want an umbrella. I asked for a refund and wouldn't go back. Be careful in this area. The property manager and supervisor seemed more interested in profit than good service. I was visiting from out of town, had low income, and needed somewhere quickly because of family medical emergencies.

The room was filthy, with stained walls and a urine and marijuana smell. The bathroom was dirty, and the toilet hadn't even been cleaned.

For an affordable motel, the beds were comfortable and the sheets and toilet were clean. Still, the bathtub was very old, so I'd use shower slippers, and there was no kettle or coffee machine in the room. We booked two double-bed rooms through expedia, but they weren't next to each other. One smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, even though the front desk said smoking wasn't allowed, while the other had a strong bleach smell. It's near downtown Flint and about a 30-minute drive from the Frankenmuth Christmas Market. You get what you pay for.
