The food was good, and the place was really clean. I appreciated getting 2 free nights at the casino, too. But the staff seemed unhappy, rarely smiled, and acted bothered when we asked for anything. We waited an hour at a restaurant for a piece of cake, then gave up and left. The slots felt extremely tight, with bonuses hard to get. We lost $300 in an hour while betting very low, and there weren't any in-between payouts to keep us playing. Staff could use more customer service training and should seem like they enjoy their jobs.

Sheri really stood out at dinner. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly wanted us to have a good experience. The food at Lakeside Grille, though, was disappointing: my New York strip was tough as leather, the baked potato seemed reheated, and the chocolate cake was dry and had no flavor. Around the resort, the service at the front desk, spa, restaurants, casino, and bar was impressive. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower water stayed hot. I just couldn't watch the TV comfortably from bed because of the room layout.

The covered, heated pool was a favorite, especially with its view of the surrounding mountains. There's also a lovely beach right on the lake, a quiet place to enjoy the outdoors or catch the sunset. We found the rooms clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the staff across the hotel and casino were welcoming and helpful from check-in through checkout. The casino has a lively feel and designated smoking rooms, which is convenient for everyone. There are several good places to eat on-site, from casual food to more upscale options. Rocky Gap makes a great weekend escape or longer stay, with relaxation, entertainment, and natural beauty all together.

The restaurant and breakfast were amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful, relaxing visit, with the pool and casino for entertainment. Our room was clean and very nice, though the roof and AC units in the view were a bit odd since I'd paid for a Mountain View.

We had a great time, and the place was a pleasant surprise after I'd been put off by the bad reviews. Audrey at the front desk was kind and helpful, and Avery took great care of us at dinner in the sports bar, staying friendly and attentive. The resort staff we met were pleasant too. Our room was fine, a little dated, but that didn't matter much since we spent most of our time in the casino. It's not a very big casino, though it had a good range of slots, and the table game players seemed to be enjoying themselves. I did call soon after booking to add someone to the reservation, and the woman who answered was very rude.
