Park Inn by Radisson Florence, SC

We switched out of our first room because it was filthy and the toilet was disgusting, but the second room was just as bad. There was hair everywhere, stains on the walls, grime and hair stuck around and beneath the tissue box, and black buildup around the shower edges. The stained toilet hadn't been wiped, the microwave was dirty, and the floor had a used q-tip, a tissue, and crumps everywhere. The desk chair was full of dirt and crumps, and the desk and bedside surfaces were smeared, as if they hadn't been wiped in a long time. Neither room seemed to have had more than a superficial clean in a LONG time. Worst of all, there was a red pill on the floor where our toddler could have picked it up and mistaken it for candy. This feels like ongoing neglect of cleaning policies, in line with older reviews. Seriously disgusting. The morning desk staff were very unfriendly. The only positive was the lady in the breakfast area. Never returning!

I felt safe here as a single mom, and the parking lot has a ton of cameras. The black male manger was amazing. When my daughter fell asleep and we ran out of water, he went out of his way to bring some up to our room. I'm so thankful. Staff were all friendly, the rooms spotless, and breakfast had lots to choose from. Checkout was at 12. I've never had such a pleasant hotel experience. I'll stay here every time I'm in town.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the hot scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and potato wedges. The Park Inn in Florence, SC was a great stay, and the room was very clean. The restaurant area was tidy too. The woman working there kept it neat, checked in with guests, and was ready to help whenever needed. I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend this hotel.

The loud music from the room next door was still going at 11:30 pm. My partner asked the front desk for help, and the response was that she could call the room once or we could go somewhere else. She didn't call, and the music kept playing. She also said the body wash tube we'd shown her had “been run over by a cart,” though it was clearly filthy and used, sitting on the bathroom sink as if it was fine for a new guest. We ended up finding another place to stay. The room felt dank and dirty, smelled bad, and had gaudy wall fixtures half hanging off. The phone cord was broken and disconnected too. This place had good cheap reviews on Expedia, but the location was odd and tricky to navigate around the train tracks at night. The outside and lobby looked decent, though. For a “new hotel,” it's in awful shape, like it was quickly thrown together with cheap fixtures and isn't being maintained. I'd recommend staying elsewhere.
