Travelodge by Wyndham Florida City/Homestead/Everglades

The room photos here give a good idea of what to expect, and I wish I’d taken some myself. We had a super experience. I chose the hotel mainly for its position between Biscayne and Everglades National Parks, rather than any brand loyalty, and didn’t expect much from a Travelodge. The cleanliness, family feel, and room standard really surprised me. Breakfast was wonderful. We’ve found a gem and will use this Travelodge as our home base whenever we’re in south Florida.

We stayed February 3-4, and for the price this Quality Inn was well worth it. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and a clean, well-stocked, well-maintained bathroom. Parking was easy and felt safe. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We asked for extra blankets and towels, and they brought them to our room within minutes. The complimentary breakfast was clean, organized, and thoughtfully kept up, as was the property throughout the day. It’s conveniently near food, groceries, and gas while still feeling quiet, safe, and comfortable. After long hours driving through the Keys, it was a warm, reliable place to rest. Highly recommended.

I was worried the glowing reviews might be fake, but we had a great stay. For the price, the hotel had everything we needed and more. It was easy to get to the Keys for a day and then the Everglades the next. The continental breakfast was there each day, the pool was heated, and the rooms had no carpet, so they stayed and smelled cleaner. The front desk had anything we needed and offered good suggestions. If you’re going to the Everglades, they recommended “Robert is Here”.

I picked this place because it sits between the Keys and Everglades. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it looked like some renovation work had been done. The staff made the stay even better. Mila at the front desk was nice, helpful, and able to answer lots of questions about the area. The women working the next day were great too, and the breakfast attendant was nice.
