TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jackson Airport/Flowood

After a problem checking into another Marriott hotel, I called here and they told me to come over, saying they’d take care of me. They followed through, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and the location made it easy to walk to food and shops. I’ll book again.

The room’s fine, but the internet was only 64 Kb/sec download, so getting computer work done was out of the question. Bring a hotspot.

This was a horrible stay, the worst of my 90-plus nights at Marriott Hotels this year. At check-in they insisted on copying my credit card and driver’s license because “the system is down.” That should have warned me. Then they assigned me a room where someone was already sleeping. There was no water in the room, and no hair dryer either. Kristi at the front desk refused to bring one or have one sent up. I got no apology or compensation for any of it. I’d avoid this hotel if you have another option.

I checked in on the app and asked the staff member to give me a food and beverage credit instead of points. She said she couldn’t do it because she didn’t know how. I also asked whether they provided bottled water and was told yes. Three days later, when I asked the desk for a bottle, a man said they didn’t provide it. I explained what I’d been told at check-in; he said she was wrong and that I could buy one.
