Hotel Floyd

Wilson made the booking feel welcoming from the start. She was patient, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, and handled everything so thoughtfully that I felt valued before I even arrived. The hotel is always my choice when I’m in town, and I’ve had that same excellent hospitality over the years. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and well cared for, and the whole property is immaculate. It’s conveniently close to everything, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The staff are what make the place special, and Wilson’s warmth and attention to detail made a real impression. Employees like her are why I keep coming back. Five stars, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We needed somewhere near the Blue Ridge at the last minute, and this worked out really well. The room was roomy and very clean, and the internet was reliable. It was only a short drive back to the Blue Ridge, and the price seemed reasonable for a last-minute stay.

The town of Floyd had the country feel and down-home hospitality I’d hoped for, but the hotel fell short. I ended up in a back room directly beside the cemetery. That was the view, close enough that I could almost touch a headstone. The internet was the bigger problem. The connection was weak and unreliable on both my phone and Notepad. When I brought it up at the front desk, they seemed dismissive and questioned why it mattered to me. I might stay again, but I’d ask for a room away from the cemetery and check that the internet is working properly.

We were impressed by how carefully the Hotel Floyd was decorated with local art, and the place was immaculate. You could see that the employees do excellent work and that management cares. My wife and I had a really pleasant stay, better value than anywhere we can remember. We’ll certainly return.
