Regatta Inn Folly Beach

I took a little birthday break at The Regatta Inn and loved exploring Folly from its private location, including a winter bike ride to the island’s tip. Before I arrived, they texted the check-in instructions. The peaceful atmosphere, quiet reggae music, and happy hour snacks were waiting when I got there. They’d left my bedroom door open, which felt welcoming and safe. The clean room had all the essentials plus a cozy fireplace and robes. Breakfast was delicious, with both healthy and indulgent choices, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it and will be back!

The people we met were a highlight, especially receptionist Kim Shuey, who was the picture of southern hospitality. Happy hour and breakfast were also a chance to meet some fantastic people. Our Poseidon Suite porch had a spectacular 180-degree view over the intercoastal waterway, and we rode the complimentary bikes into town for lunch. Everything exceeded our expectations. I’d give this place 6 stars if I could, and can’t wait to return!

We chose the Regatta Inn for our 20th wedding anniversary, and watching the sunset from our room was one of the best parts of the trip. The property has stunning panoramic views, and the beach is an easy, short walk away for an early morning sunrise stroll. The inn is peaceful and beautiful, and it’s clearly well maintained. From arrival, the welcoming staff made us feel at home. It was one of the best places we’ve stayed, and we’d absolutely recommend it for a special, relaxing getaway.

We celebrated our 9yr anniversary here and will definitely be back. The staff were so kind, genuine, and welcoming, and even left a bottle of champagne with a handwritten note congratulating us. Our cute, cozy room was just right for two. Happy hour was fun, the snacks were so good we had no room for dinner haha, and the wine and beer selection was great. The Inn has stunning views and isn’t far from the beach. They offer free bikes for a quick ride to the beach or a 7-10 minute trip to downtown Folly. Thanks to the staff for making our stay memorable!
