Valley Motel

Customer service was horrible. My truck was in the shop, so I got there around 3 or 4 a.m. and was charged for a full day, even though checkout was at 11. I paid for another day so I wouldn’t be disturbed at 11. There were dirty towels on the bathroom floor when I got to the room. The truck was still being worked on the next day, and I needed to stay longer, but they said they weren’t renting rooms and wouldn’t let me book another one because people don’t stay more than two nights. I’d already paid for a full day. I think my race had something to do with how I was treated.

Nice rooms with flat-screen TVs, and the people were good to us. Thanks to the managers for using their AAA account to call for help when our car was locked out. That saved us the $140 locksmith fee. We’ll be back.

I think they were stereotyping us. We got there around 2 a.m. while our truck was being worked on. My husband found dirty towels all over the bathroom floor. The next morning he said he felt watched: family members staying there kept walking past our door, then turning around and coming back. He also said they asked where Mommy was. We have a three-year-old daughter, and whether I was there or not, he’s a very, very good father. We needed another night because the truck was still in the shop. Housekeeping told us rooms were available, but that they liked to keep them open. I saw a lot of people and cars come in, stay for two or three hours, then leave, and they were all one of two races. When we asked to extend our stay, we were told they weren’t renting rooms that day. I asked why. Her expression said, “We don’t want to rent another night to you,” while her words were that they were renovating. That was different from what my husband had just been told. I knew what was going on then. Spend your money somewhere else.

It was clean, and finally a motel that left enough towels for guests. I didn’t have to keep going to the front desk all night for towels or toilet paper. It was actually really nice, and the area wasn’t too bad either. Nothing bothered me, and I’d be happy to come back for another night.
