For this location, it's a pretty decent motel. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, though the place itself was quiet and clean, with some updates.

The room was comfortable and the whole hotel was spotless. Even arriving after 11pm, I found it impressively quiet. A staff member was outside keeping an eye on things, and the security cameras added to that feeling of safety. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional, and they seemed to genuinely care about helping. I had a wonderful stay at Scottish Inns and would gladly come back next time I'm in town. Thanks for making it such a pleasant visit.

For the price, this was a solid choice. The room had a full-length mirror, and the bathroom mirror was bright enough to get ready by. The towels were good, though the pillows were flat. It was clean and quiet, and we could smell fresh paint. The AC was new, the regular motel kind, and ran quietly. There's a train track nearby, but we didn't hear any honking at night. Service was very good. Bring a charging block. For food, the place across the street is very authentic, and the barbacoa is delicious. El Toro mexican restaurant next door was okay, but short on flavor. You can't order just a taco and coffee there, either, as the cashier only took orders in multiples of three. For coffee, you may want to drive down the street.

The motel itself was good from check-in through checkout, and the manager lady was super nice. The odd part happened as I got out of the car to check in around 10pm. Felicia came around a blind corner with a wild story about her uncle losing both legs in Nam, an emergency surgery at the VA by 9am, and needing gas money and a jump for her dead battery. She also wanted a ride back to the gas station down the street. She kept pressing me while I tried to check in, so I finally told her to beat it. I wasn't about to be the thing getting “jumped” at the gas station. I think the nice motel lady enjoyed the show.

I paid for a room I reserved on Wednesday, but when I came back on Thursday they wouldn't give it to me because they said I had to return by 2 p.m.
