The room was great, and though the building is older, it was clean. The shower water came out rusty at first, which was my only real worry, but I let it run for a few minutes and it cleared up. I’d give the place another try in the next few weeks.

We checked out after about 15 minutes because I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe there with my daughter and granddaughter. At least we got a refund. The pool door had to be unlocked by the man working, so guests couldn’t just go in, and the hot tub was out of order. Security also worried me: the back entrance didn’t lock, and the door to our room had to be pulled really hard to latch properly. The room itself had a toilet that sounded like a tornado when flushed. Inside, the windows were filthy and there was a strange smell. The place seemed run down and badly in need of a deep clean and new carpet. The parking lot was the first warning, with storage containers and random hotel furniture taking up much of the space. It looked like a dump, with a broken-down car by the entrance and another car full of junk nearby. I wouldn’t recommend it.

In May 2026, we had to switch rooms because the bathroom in the first one was covered in mold. Both rooms smelled musty, though. The pool water was very cloudy, and the hot tub was empty and out of order. There was just one towel for four of us, and the toilet paper roll was empty.

The bathroom was disgusting, with mold on the wall above the shower. Repairs on the walls had been left unpainted, and the room wasn’t the best AmericInn I’ve stayed in. At check-in, nobody was at the front desk even after I rang the bell three times. I finally went around the corner into the employee-only area and called out before a man came to help.

The pool was closed, breakfast was poor, and the amenities were subpar. Service was inadequate and nobody seemed responsive. Even the renovations and repainting looked like shoddy work. I don’t think this hotel is worth 15,000 Wyndham rewards points a night. They ought to call it Amerislum instead of Americinn.
