Days Inn by Wyndham Forrest City

I’ve worked for Wyndham for seven years and watched the hotel change from a Super 8 to a Knights Inn. I travel a lot, but this trip was unexpected. The room was filthy. I bought sheets at Walmart and threw them away after using them. There was a big glob of green stuff on the air conditioner in the smoking room, and stains ran from the tub to the toilet and sink. The TV was stuck on one channel and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. I’m disabled and asked for a downstairs room, but got an upstairs one in a building with no elevator. No one helped after I climbed 24 stairs, then I still had to walk 100 feet to the room, even though only three cars were in the lot. I didn’t see a maid during my stay. Whenever I asked to have something fixed, nobody spoke English. The day I left, I got downstairs while breakfast was out. The jelly was so old it wouldn’t spread on toast. I don’t recommend it. Run, Forrest, run.

We checked out at 4 am because the interstate noise kept us awake. There was no hot water for showers in the morning, and nobody answered when we tried calling the front desk to let them know. The room was very run down. A big gap showed under the door, none of the lamps worked, the outlets looked like fire hazards, and the tub was gross. I’d rather have slept in the truck.

The bed was very comfortable, but the A/C made a loud, strange noise all night. The desk chair was wobbly, there was no hand soap, and a large roach was in the bathtub. The full-length mirror on the bathroom door was very dirty. I was also charged more than the price shown on the website.

The first room smelled bad, so they switched us to another one, but that room was filthy. Water had spilled from the cooler. We wiped it up and the towel came away black, and the floors were disgusting. My dog had only been in the room for five minutes. They charged $20 for my little poodle because, they said, dogs require special cleaning. I wouldn’t want my dog staying in that room at all. When I asked for my money back, they wouldn’t return it until the next morning. We went 500 feet to the Comfort Suites, which was beautiful for $15 more. People, go there. We’ll report this place to the health department. It wasn’t even a one-star stay.
