Travelodge by Wyndham Fort Bragg

We had a room that was comfortable for all seven of us, and they provided a rollaway bed free of charge. It was well stocked, even with a microwave and mini fridge, which was great for the kids’ snacks. The room was clean, the sheets were bright white, and the towels were both white and actually soft. My husband and I were very pleased with the stay and hope to return to Fort Bragg, where we’d absolutely stay here again. The room did feel quite dated, as others have mentioned, and the beds were rather hard. Some people like a firm mattress, though, so that may not bother everyone.

We loved Fort Bragg on our first visit, and happened to arrive when the air was clean and free of smoke from the fires. The motel was within walking distance of the coast, and for the price that worked out fine, even though the beds were pretty stiff. I didn’t hear the neighbors while sleeping, which was a plus. Parking stalls were tight, but that’s been common at other motels we’ve stayed at too. On the first night my husband slept poorly because the AC wasn’t cooling, just moving the room air around. Thankfully, the manager arranged a nice accommodation in a different room for our second night.

I was puzzled by the bad reviews because we had a great stay. Maybe they’ve made a lot of changes recently, and it’s working. Everything seemed recently renovated, the room was spacious and very clean, and everything worked. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. For the price, it was an unbelievable deal. I just wish they allowed pets.

The manager provided great service, and this is a great spot right in town. My daughter and I stayed in room 119. It was clean, the bed was comfy, and the AC and heat worked well. The only issue was cable work, so we only got basic TV channels. Parking was good, and there was a little restaurant in the same lot serving breakfast and lunch.
