After traveling 13 hours with a baby, we checked in and paid nearly twice the original rate because it was a same-day booking. We were told the rooms were basically brand new. Once we'd unpacked and were getting ready for bed, we found the A/C didn't work, and it was hot. The front desk person told my husband it couldn't be fixed. He offered to look for another room, but it was late, we were exhausted, and I wasn't going to pack and move everything then. He brought a fan, though it was covered in dirt and dust, and said he'd tell management the next day and see if they'd discount the room. In the morning, the new receptionist didn't know what had happened and wasn't sure the manager would come in. She took my name, phone number, and email, but the hotel never got back to me or even apologized. For close to $300 for one night, after traveling all day, I'd expect working A/C or a management team that cared.

The bed was the most comfortable one I've had in a hotel. Our room was really nice, and I'd recommend it if you just need a clean place to sleep. Renovation work was going on over the weekend, starting at 10 a.m.; with earplugs, I barely heard it. The lobby and hallways were under construction.

The person at the front desk was nice, but there was nobody there the morning we checked out. The room didn't seem finished either, since the sink faucet moved around. The building is under renovation, something the websites don't mention, and there's no sign by the elevator telling you where the rooms are, so you end up wandering around trying to find yours. I also saw no fire exit plans inside the room doors, and the building didn't seem up to fire code. There was just one small trash can in the restroom. Bad experience. I wouldn't come back.

The young woman working at the front desk was very pleasant, even though she'd only been on the job a week. Her smile and manner were a bright spot in an unpleasant stay. I paid $140 for one night, but the parking lot was torn up and the lobby too, so guests couldn't use the main entrance and had to come in through a side door. Construction was loud early and late in the day. Our room door had a gap and a chip, and the two huge TVs weren't connected to anything, so we couldn't watch them. This should have been disclosed, and the rate should've been cut quite a bit. It felt like a bait and switch.

Housekeeping keeps the rooms really clean, and the staff are great. My stay at Cambria has been awesome, with an excellent location too. I'm picky, and I'd definitely give it five stars. Enjoy your stay. Kai
