Days Inn Fort Collins

I almost never leave negative reviews, but this place was BAD. I was on the ground floor and my window wouldn’t lock, leaving just a screen between me and outside. I was so stressed I was nearly in tears. When I told the front desk, they wouldn’t listen and said I should cancel and go somewhere else. It was late and I was exhausted, and they were very rude. The area felt unsafe too. People experiencing homelessness tried to push in when I used my key card at the back door, and I had to nearly drive into a ditch to avoid people in the street. They eventually put a safety bar in place, which I appreciated, but they were dismissive and rude about it. Worst hotel stay I’ve had. Very disappointed.

I booked a month here and have been staying for about two or three weeks. The rooms are nice for a one-night visit, but even then there’s a chance of bed bugs. I’ve now been in three rooms. Both moves happened after I found a bedbug and brought it to the desk. The same woman helped me each time, took a picture, and sent it to her manager. She was respectful, helpful, and kind. I found another one last night and immediately brought it down again. Today, while I was relaxing, another front desk employee called to ask why I hadn’t left. I said I would have after the first one if I’d had somewhere else to go, but I don’t. She was quite rude while pretending to be nice, tried to make me think leaving was my idea, and blamed me for the bugs even though I’ve never had them before. They’ll do anything to cover this up!

Days Inn Fort Collins seems to have spent every point on water pressure and ignored things like comfort and amenities. Turn on the bath tap and the force makes it bend upward. The tub fills so fast it’s hard to tell whether the drain is blocked or just overwhelmed. Switch to the shower and the spray comes through in one concentrated blast, nearly drilling the tub and kicking up cold mist. Once you step under it, it’s like thousands of tiny needles hitting your skin. I stood there dazed, then turned around slowly, but the water still felt overpowering. Waterfalls and fire trucks were dancing in my head. Soap was beside the point, I was being pressure washed and just trying to endure it. After a minute I got out red and raw, wondering whether that was a shower or some kind of spiritual experience. Five stars, but not for the faint of heart.

Just right for an overnight stay. The room was clean and in good shape, and the staff were friendly at night and again in the morning.
